Well, I'm not updating my gallery just yet but I got fed up with looking at my old journal entry which was posted about a YEAR ago so, even though no one likely reads this anymore I'm updating anyway.

I haven't really done much in the way of artses for a fair while. But I'm hoping to get some unfinished pieces and ideas finished sometime in the next few months. I've been thinking rather seriously about getting a folio together as well as studying music more seriously. Unfortunately, it is all just thinking at this stage and no action whatsoever. I'd like to buy myself a more professional camera as well as a new keyboard and a bass guitar. Thinking of getting into the music scene. There are a million things I want to do, I might try get in on them after I graduate though and I'm hoping that I'll be moving to Japan after I graduate so I guess that's where all the action will be happening. I wonder what the odds are of getting a spot in a band while knowing that I'm not likely to stay in Japan for more than two years. Not. Very. Likely.

I've been getting into photography in a big way. I've always had a strong interest in it but I never really put any effort into it before. I know just messing with your camera is the best way to learn though and learn I have but I've been upping my technical knowledge when it comes to cameras a bit. I love knowing how things work and as a result I now have a better working knowledge of how to use not only my camera but kinds of cameras I haven't had the chance to work with yet.

I have been doing a bit of reading up on great photographers, I have a kazillion heroes now. It's a good way to get inspired and motivated. All I need now is the money to fund my photography escapés.

OK I should really stop ranting now because I have one week until uni starts up again and I have barely spoken a word of Spanish for four months. Slightly screwed. But I'm not worried I suppose because my head has a huge vacuum in it for language. I'm going to cover a years worth of work in just one week. I'm just awesome like that.

If I can get a job in the next couple of months, I might go on a long holiday in New Zealand, maybe even New Caledonia next summer to just step things up a bit in life. I was made to travel, unfortunately I haven't gone anywhere outside my usual lurks for over a year. Hell, if I get a job soon enough, I think I'll go to Sydney for a week during the winter.
